Escape the Fantasy April 21 – 27

The idea is simple: take your TV, your DVD player, your video iPod, your XBOX 360, your laptop, your PSP, and say goodbye to them all for seven days. Simple, but not at all easy. Like millions of others before you, you’ll be shocked at just how difficult – yet also how life-changing – a week spent unplugged can really be.

check out the website before next week!!

I don’t have most of the techno-gadgets so it wouldn’t be much bother for me. The computer would be the only difficulty—not for me as I’d happily leave it off for a week, but for all the people who’ve come to expect that my bog will be updated at least once a day. If I miss even one day due to my workload and tiredness, I get dozens of emails from people asking where I’ve gone, if I’m okay or why I haven’t bothered posting. If I went off-line for a whole week I’d have to delete all the emails that had come in without reading them and start from nothing.

    Hmm, that is an idea…

I know what you mean I find it hard to deal with my fame 🙂 I must admit that recently I’ve really missed using the internet for e-mail etc. It’s funny how the majority of people feel they can’t do without all this stuff but when they go on holiday for two weeks they never think about it.

TV the opiate of the masses

    KILL YOUR TELEVISION

    “KILL YOUR TELEVISION”

    Yeah!!! =D

I once blew a TV apart with a shotgun. It was very satisfying. It was also in the name of art…

Very rock and roll!! Everyone should have the chance to do that.

I once cut a car in half with an angle grinder. and yes in the name of art!!

I have a 13″ TV that I turn on maybe once or twice a year, but I don’t know if I could live without my Netflix fix. Or without my computer!

That said, if you think of all the anti-enviro propaganda we’re taking in through our TVs and our computers, turning them off could actually make us smarter.

Nice blog. I’m adding you to my blogroll.

Yeah your right I spend too much time on the net convincing myself I’m doing something worth while.

    thanks for the add.
